Trading & Sourcing
MOQ varies by product. Bulk commodities (rice, sugar, coal) typically start at one FCL (20-ft container) or one metric tonne for specialty produce. We will work to consolidate smaller orders with consolidators on our books - ask the trade desk for current options.
Yes, for most commodities. Sample charges, courier costs and an indicative timeline are confirmed with the quotation. Sample fees are typically credited against the first commercial invoice once a bulk order is placed.
We routinely transact under FOB, CFR, CIF, FCA, CPT, CIP, DAP and DDP under Incoterms® 2020. The applicable Incoterm is always confirmed on the proforma invoice; we recommend buyers consult their freight forwarder before committing to the higher-cost D-terms.
Every commodity contract names the agreed grade and specification. We arrange pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by independent surveyors such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or Cotecna; Certificate of Analysis (COA), phytosanitary, fumigation and weight certificates are issued at the loading port.
Often, yes. As a multi-vertical trading house we maintain an extended supplier network. Submit a Request for Quotation through our contact form or to trading@ptalexa.com with target specification, volume, destination and timeline.

We provide licensed customs brokerage at Indonesian sea and air ports via the INSW / CEISA single-window system, and arrange clearance at destination through accredited partners. HS classification, valuation, duty optimisation and AEO routing are covered.

Compliance & Docs
At minimum: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (BL) or air waybill (AWB) and HS-coded product description. Depending on cargo: certificate of origin (Form A, ATIGA, AANZFTA), phytosanitary, fumigation, halal certification (food), MSDS (dangerous goods), COA, inspection / SGS report. We prepare and file the export-side documentation as part of the service.
Our customs desk classifies cargo under the Indonesian HS Tariff Book (BTKI) - currently aligned with HS 2022 - using product description, composition and intended use. Mis-classification creates compliance risk and unexpected duty exposure; ask us to validate before declaration.
Yes. Every counterparty is screened against the UN, US OFAC SDN, EU consolidated, UK OFSI and PPATK lists at onboarding and on a continuous basis. We do not deal with sanctioned parties, sanctioned jurisdictions or proscribed end-uses.
For corporate KYC we collect: certificate of incorporation, business licence / NIB equivalent, tax registration, beneficial-ownership disclosure (≥25% UBO), proof of registered address, authorised-signatory list and bank-account confirmation. PEP and high-risk jurisdictions trigger Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
Trade contracts are typically governed by Indonesian law, with disputes referred to BANI (Indonesian National Board of Arbitration) in Jakarta or to the competent Pengadilan Negeri. International contracts may, on request, be governed by the laws of England & Wales or Singapore - confirmed in the master agreement.
